FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about renting a temporary kitchen trailer.

The Trailer

How big is the trailer?
Our current units are approximately 12 × 7 feet. Most standard residential driveways can accommodate this size.
What appliances are included?
The trailer includes a range with exhaust hood, refrigerator/freezer, sink with hot and cold water, cabinets, countertops, outlets, and lighting. See our Trailer Features page for the full list.
Is the interior finished?
Yes. The trailer has finished walls, flooring, and lighting — it's designed to feel like a kitchen, not a construction trailer.
Is it clean?
Every trailer is thoroughly cleaned and inspected before delivery. We take the condition of our equipment seriously.
Can I use it in winter?
Yes. Our trailers include cold-weather protection for use during New Jersey winters. [CONFIRM: specific cold-weather features]

Delivery & Setup

How does delivery work?
We deliver the trailer to your driveway and position it for you. Our team handles the utility connections and walks you through everything before leaving.
Will it fit in my driveway?
Most standard residential driveways can accommodate our trailer. If you're unsure, contact us and we can discuss your specific situation.
How does it connect to utilities?
The trailer connects to your home's water supply for the sink. Cooking is propane-powered. Electrical requires two 20-amp circuits; a third 20-amp circuit is needed if you plan to use an air conditioner or heater.
How long does setup take?
Setup typically takes about an hour. Our team handles all the connections and won't leave until everything is working and you're comfortable using the trailer.
Do I need to be home for delivery?
Yes, we ask that someone be present for delivery and setup so we can walk you through the connections and answer any questions.

Rental & Pricing

How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on rental duration, location, and specific needs. Contact us for a custom quote. We aim to be transparent — no hidden fees.
How long can I rent it?
Our minimum rental period is one week. We're flexible and can accommodate most project timelines, from a single week to several months.
What if my project runs longer than expected?
Contact us as soon as you know you need more time. We'll do our best to extend your rental, subject to availability.
Is there a security deposit?
A security deposit will be discussed and agreed upon at the time of contract.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept multiple forms of payment. Details will be provided when we send your quote.

During Your Rental

Who handles the wastewater tank?
We do not service the wastewater tank. Renters are responsible for arranging wastewater tank service during their rental period.
What if something stops working?
Contact us right away. We'll troubleshoot over the phone or send someone out as quickly as possible.
Can I use my own small appliances?
Yes — the trailer has electrical outlets for your coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and other small appliances.
Who supplies the propane?
The trailer comes with one propane tank included. Refills during the rental period are the renter's responsibility.

Insurance Claims & Restoration

Can I rent a temporary kitchen while my insurance claim is being processed?
Yes. Many of our customers are homeowners whose kitchens are out of service due to water damage, fire damage, or mold remediation. We can typically coordinate delivery within a few days of a confirmed project start date.
How does a temporary kitchen rental work with an insurance restoration project?
We work directly with your restoration contractor's timeline. Once you have a project start date, contact us to check availability and reserve a trailer. We'll coordinate delivery to arrive before demo or remediation begins.
Can my insurance cover the cost of a temporary kitchen rental?
Some homeowner insurance policies include coverage for additional living expenses (ALE) when a covered loss makes part of your home uninhabitable. A temporary kitchen rental may qualify under your policy's ALE provisions. We recommend checking with your insurance adjuster — we can provide documentation of rental costs if needed.
Do you work with restoration contractors and insurance adjusters?
Yes. We're happy to coordinate directly with your restoration contractor on scheduling, and we can provide documentation for insurance purposes. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.
What types of damage situations do you typically help with?
We commonly help homeowners dealing with water damage from burst pipes or appliance leaks, fire and smoke damage, mold remediation, and other insurance restoration projects that take the kitchen out of service for an extended period.
